Branded Metal Water Bottles: A Buyer's Guide for Business
Branded metal water bottles for business: insulated or not, capacity, lids, engraving or printing and care, with six real steel models and UK prices ex VAT.
By Zintora Team

Branded metal water bottles are stainless steel or metal bottles marked with your logo by laser engraving, UV printing or screen printing. For a business order the choice comes down to four things: insulated or not, capacity and lid, the marking method and where the bottle will be used. Steel models in our catalogue start from £10.72 ex VAT.
This guide walks through those decisions using six real steel and metal bottles from the Zintora range, with what each product page says about it and nothing more. If you want to see every active model at once, go to our branded water bottles page. If you are still choosing between materials, our comparison of Tritan vs stainless steel water bottles covers plastic, glass and aluminium as well.
Why companies choose metal for logo water bottles
A bottle is one of the few pieces of merchandise people use every working day. It sits on the desk, travels in a rucksack and goes to the gym. That daily use is why logo water bottles turn up in welcome kits, event bags and thank-you gifts more often than most other items.
Metal, and stainless steel in particular, suits that kind of life:
- It is tough. A steel bottle survives being dropped in a car park or knocked off a desk far better than glass.
- It takes a crisp mark. Laser engraving on steel gives a clean, one-tone logo that looks deliberate rather than promotional.
- It is reusable. Several of the bottles below are listed as "Reusable" on their product pages, and a bottle that replaces disposable ones is an easy story to tell internally.
- It can be insulated. Some models use a double wall with vacuum insulation, which matters if people carry hot or cold drinks.
The trade-off is weight and price: steel is heavier than plastic, and insulated steel costs more than a single-material bottle. That is why it pays to match the model to the use rather than buying the most expensive option for everyone.
The steel bottles in the catalogue compared
The table lists the steel and metal bottles currently in the catalogue, with the details each product page gives. All six take laser engraving, UV printing and screen printing, and all six have a stated minimum of 25 units.

Where a product page does not give an exact capacity, the quote confirms it in writing before you approve the order. The same applies to anything else you need to know for a specific use, such as whether a lid suits carbonated drinks.
Insulated or not: what the product pages actually say
The biggest difference between metal bottles is the construction, not the logo. Two bottles can look almost identical and behave very differently.
Double wall with vacuum insulation. The Atlas Steel Bottle and the Hot and Cold Vacuum Bottle are both described as double-walled with vacuum insulation. This is the usual construction for thermal bottles: the gap between the walls slows down heat transfer, so a cold drink stays cold and a hot drink stays hot for longer. The Atlas product page points to the product sheet for the retention times, and we quote only what that sheet says. Insulated bottles suit field teams, commuters, site visits and anyone who fills up in the morning and drinks through the day.
Not described as insulated. The High-Grade Steel Bottle, the Customisable Sipper Bottle and the HydroHorizon Bottle are described as sturdy steel or metal bottles without any mention of vacuum insulation. Treat them as everyday bottles for water at room temperature. They are lighter on the budget and well suited to office use, events and sport. The Desktop Flow Hydration Bottle is described as keeping the temperature; if insulation matters for your use, ask for the construction to be confirmed in the quote.
A simple rule: if people will carry hot drinks, choose a model whose page says double wall and vacuum insulation. If the bottle will mostly be refilled at a desk or a water point, a non-insulated steel bottle does the job for less.
Capacity and lids
Capacity and lid are what people notice in the first week, so they deserve as much attention as the colour.
- Capacity. The Atlas is the only model in this list with a stated capacity on its page: 750 ml. The HydroHorizon is described as having a generous capacity and the High-Grade Steel Bottle a standard one. For other models, ask for the capacity in the quote rather than assuming.
- Wide mouth. The Atlas has a wide mouth that lets you add ice, which also makes it easier to clean by hand.
- Leak-proof or secure lid. The Atlas lid is described as leak-proof, and the HydroHorizon lid as secure. That matters for anything that will travel in a bag with a laptop.
- Spout. The Customisable Sipper Bottle has a comfortable spout, which suits sport, team days and events where people drink on the move.
- Soft-flow opening. The Desktop Flow Hydration Bottle has a soft-flow opening and a design meant to sit on a desk.
The Atlas product sheet also states that the bottle is BPA-free. For the other models, ask for the material details of the lid and seal along with the quote.
Engraving or printing: choosing the marking method
Every bottle here supports three techniques. The final one is confirmed according to the design, the material and the quantity, and you approve a digital proof showing position, size and colour before production.
| Method | How it looks | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Laser engraving | One tone, marked into the surface or coating | Logos and short text, a premium, discreet finish |
| UV printing | Full colour, printed on the surface | Multi-colour logos, gradients, illustrations |
| Screen printing | Solid spot colours | Bold one- or two-colour logos on larger runs |
Laser engraving is the default for custom water bottles with logo marks that should look understated. On the Atlas, engraving marks the logo into the powder-coated finish, so the colour of the mark comes from the material underneath. On a plain steel finish, the engraving shows as a tone of the metal. The High-Grade Steel Bottle is described as perfect for laser engraving.
UV printing makes sense when the logo relies on colour. It is the route for brand colours that must match, or for a design with more than one or two colours.
Screen printing gives solid, opaque colour and suits bold one- or two-colour logos.

Which bottle suits which use
Here is how we would match the catalogue to common situations:
- Welcome kits for new starters. The Atlas Steel Bottle is the natural fit: insulated, 750 ml and available in four colours that work with most brand palettes. The High-Grade Steel Bottle is described as a sober, practical option for welcome kits if the budget is tighter. Our employee welcome packs page shows how a bottle sits alongside other items.
- Events and conferences. Promotional water bottles for events need to be easy to carry and quick to brand. The Customisable Sipper Bottle, with its spout and large printable surface, and the High-Grade Steel Bottle both suit event use.
- Office and hybrid teams. The Desktop Flow Hydration Bottle is designed for the desk, and the HydroHorizon is described as tough and practical for daily use.
- Field teams and commuters. Choose an insulated model: the Hot and Cold Vacuum Bottle or the Atlas.
- Client and thank-you gifts. An engraved Atlas or Hot and Cold Vacuum Bottle in a gift box reads as a considered gift. See our corporate gifts page for presentation options.
Ordering branded water bottles in bulk
Branded water bottles in bulk follow the same steps as any other merchandise order:
- Choose the model and the colours, and decide how the quantity splits across colours.
- Send the logo file and say which technique you prefer.
- Approve the digital proof.
- Confirm delivery addresses: one office, several sites or individual homes.
Production takes 10 to 20 working days after proof approval, confirmed in the quote. Zintora delivers across the UK and internationally to Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Asia-Pacific and the Americas. If you want to combine bottles with other items, look at the ready-made packs.
Care and sustainability
Branded reusable water bottles only earn their place if people keep using them, and that depends on care. Clean the lid and seal separately, as they are where residue collects, and follow the care instructions supplied for the specific model. If a bottle will go in a dishwasher, ask in the quote whether the model and the chosen marking method suit it, rather than assuming.
On sustainability, keep claims to what you can document. Several bottles are listed as "Reusable", and material or certification claims are treated as verified only when the supplier provides documentation for the selected reference. The only certificate we name is the GRS of The Tenth House, checked per lot; certificates for other products are available on request. Our sustainability page explains how we handle environmental claims.
