Gifts for Suppliers: When and How to Thank Your Supply Chain
Gifts for suppliers: when a thank-you makes sense, what to send to a supplier's team or account manager, how to respect gift policies, and which catalogue items fit.
By Zintora Team

Gifts for suppliers are a thank-you to the companies that keep your business running: the manufacturer who met a tight deadline, the agency that went the extra mile or the logistics partner who never misses a delivery. Keep them modest, useful and shareable, like our 350 ml stoneware Ember Mug with a minimum of 36.
This guide covers when a supplier gift makes sense, how to respect gift policies, what to send to a whole team or to one contact, and how to brand and pack it. Every product below comes from the live Zintora catalogue on 28 October 2026.
Why send gifts to suppliers?
Most corporate gifting looks downstream, at clients. Suppliers are easy to forget, yet they decide how quickly you can react when something goes wrong. A well-chosen gift does three things:
- It says thank you for specific work, which people remember.
- It strengthens the relationship with the people who handle your account day to day.
- It makes you a customer people want to help when capacity is tight.
A gift does not replace paying on time or giving clear briefs. It works best on top of a relationship that is already good.
When to send a supplier gift
| Moment | Who receives it | What fits | Tone |
|---|---|---|---|
| End of a big project | The supplier's project team | Something to share, such as mugs for the team | Thank you for the work |
| A deadline rescued | The account manager or the person who solved it | A personal item with a handwritten card | Specific and direct |
| Anniversary of working together | The main contact and their manager | A lasting item for the desk | Looking forward |
| Year end | The whole team you work with | A modest, useful item for each person | Warm and short |
| A visit to their site | The host team | A small item you bring with you | Friendly |
The more specific the reason, the better the gift lands. "Thanks for getting the order out before the bank holiday" means more than a generic seasonal card.
Respect the supplier's gift policy
Many companies have rules on accepting gifts, often with a value limit or a requirement to declare gifts above a certain amount. Public bodies and large firms tend to be strict. A few habits keep everyone comfortable:
- Keep the value modest. A useful item with a card is almost always acceptable.
- Send to the team, not one buyer, when the gift is a general thank-you.
- Avoid timing it around a contract decision. A gift while a tender is open can look like an attempt to influence it.
- Ask if you are unsure. Your contact will usually tell you what their policy allows.

Pricing for your design and quantity comes with your quote. Catalogue prices are ex VAT; printing and delivery are extra, UK import VAT and duties are paid on delivery. Every product page shows its own minimum.

| Aurora Candle and Card Set | A thank-you with a message | 180 g soy wax candle with a letterpress thank-you card | 30 |

For a supplier's whole team
When a supplier's team has worked hard on your account, give everyone the same thing. The Ember Mug is a 350 ml stoneware mug with a matt exterior and a speckled glaze inside; because the glaze reacts differently in every firing, no two are quite the same. Mugs suit an office team. For a production or site team, the Atlas Steel Bottle is more practical: 750 ml, double walls with vacuum insulation and a leak-proof lid, in matte black, forest green, sandstone or steel. More mugs are on the printed mugs page.
For the person who made the difference
The Aurora Candle and Card Set is designed for a thank-you: a 180 g soy wax candle in an amber glass jar, in cedar and fig or sea salt and sage, with a letterpress thank-you card on cotton paper. The label and card carry your brand and your own message, so the logo stays off the product itself. The Arc Metal Pen has a brass core, a knurled grip and a smooth twist mechanism, and comes in a gift tube that can be printed.
For a long-standing partner
For a supplier you have worked with for years, the Ledger Hardcover Journal is a more substantial gift. It is linen-bound with copper foil stamping, gilded edges and 120 g/m² cream paper, and it arrives in a rigid slipcase. Each journal can include a bookplate page printed to order, a natural place for a short message about the partnership.
Packing a supplier gift
Two items and a card usually say more than a box of small things. Good combinations are a mug with the candle set, or a journal with a pen. The Crate Premium Gift Box is a rigid presentation box with a magnetic closure, a soft-touch exterior, a custom-printed interior and foam or crinkle-paper filling cut to the contents. More box options are on the branded gift boxes page.
Write the card yourself, or have it signed by the person who works with the supplier. Name the reason: the project, the deadline, the year.
How to brand a supplier gift
A supplier gift is a thank-you, not a campaign. Keep your logo in the background:
- Brand the packaging and the card, and keep the mark on the product small.
- Choose engraving on metal where you can; it looks considered and lasts.
- Consider co-branding for a long partnership, for example a short line about the joint project on the bookplate.
Send your logo as a vector file (PDF, SVG or EPS). You approve the technique, position and size on a digital proof before production starts, and nothing is produced until you approve it.
Supplier gifts and client gifts: what differs
Supplier and client gifts use many of the same products, but the balance is different. A client gift often aims to keep your brand in front of a buyer. A supplier gift is about recognising work that has already been done, so it should be more personal and less promotional. If you are planning gifts for both, our guide to corporate gifts for clients covers the client side, and our guide to corporate thank you gifts covers thank-you gifts more broadly. For the full range of ideas, see the corporate gifts page.
Lead times and delivery
Production takes 10 to 20 working days after proof approval, confirmed in the quote. Add time for the quote, the digital proof and delivery. For year-end gifts, order early in the autumn. Zintora delivers across the UK and internationally to Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Asia-Pacific and the Americas, to one address or directly to each supplier.
Sustainability questions
If your company reports on purchasing, ask with the quote for material details, an estimated carbon footprint per product and documentation for certified products. The only certificate we name is the GRS of The Tenth House, checked per lot; certificates for other products are available on request. More on our approach is on the sustainability page.

Frequently asked questions
What are good gifts for suppliers?
Useful, modest items that can be shared or kept on a desk: mugs for a team, a steel bottle for a site team, a pen or journal for an account manager, or a candle set with a thank-you card.
Is it appropriate to give gifts to suppliers?
Yes, as long as the gift is modest, linked to a clear reason and within the supplier's own gift policy. Avoid gifts while a contract decision is open.
How much should I spend on a supplier gift?
Keep it modest and in line with the supplier's own gift policy, so check that policy before you choose. For the items you have in mind, request a quote: it gives the total, including branding and delivery.
Can you deliver to each supplier directly?
Yes. Items can go to one address or to each recipient. The quote confirms the delivery cost per destination.
How long does it take?
Production takes 10 to 20 working days after proof approval, plus delivery. The exact schedule is in the quote.
