Is Giftronaut or Snappy Better for Employee Gifting at Scale?
Giftronaut or Snappy for employee gifting at scale: digital rewards versus physical gift choice, compared on reach, integrations, reporting and branding, plus where branded kits fit.
By Zintora Team

Giftronaut or Snappy: neither is simply better, because they solve different problems at scale. Giftronaut describes itself as a rewards platform for digital gift cards, prepaid cards and curated merchandise in many countries. Snappy describes itself as a corporate gifting platform where recipients choose a physical gift within a budget, with HR and chat integrations.
So the right choice depends on what your employees should actually receive, and on how you want the programme to run once hundreds or thousands of people are involved. This guide compares the two platforms on the criteria that matter for employee gifting at scale, using only what each company says on its own website. It then explains, honestly, where a branded merchandise supplier such as Zintora fits, and where it does not.
Note: Zintora publishes this guide. We are not a gift card or gifting platform, and we do not compete directly with either company. Facts about Giftronaut come from giftronaut.com and facts about Snappy from snappy.com, both checked 4 November 2026. Features and terms change, so confirm them with each company before you sign up. What each platform says it is
Giftronaut
Giftronaut's site describes it as an e-gift card rewards and incentives platform operated by Wincube. It says you can send gift cards, prepaid cards and curated merchandise from one platform, with physical gifts marked as coming soon. It advertises more than 4,300 options in 225 countries, with local brands and currencies, and a Choice Card that lets each recipient pick the reward they want. Rewards are delivered by email, SMS or reward link. The site says there are no platform fees, contracts or subscriptions, and that you pay for the rewards you send.
Snappy
Snappy's site calls it an all-in-one corporate gifting platform. Senders set a budget and recipients choose from a large selection of gifts, a single item or a curated collection. The site cites more than 150 countries, integrations with HR systems such as Workday, BambooHR, Rippling and ADP, sending through Slack and Microsoft Teams, and a gifting API. It also offers custom swag, describing logo hoodies, branded drinkware and custom kits, plus reporting on redemption rates and recipients' thank-you notes. Its home page offers a free sign-up and a sales contact for larger customers; it links to a separate pricing page.

How to decide: five questions about scale
1. Should the reward be digital or physical?
This is the deciding question. A digital reward lands instantly in an inbox and has no address, size or customs to manage. A physical gift is something the employee holds and keeps, but it needs an address, a delivery and, across borders, import rules. Giftronaut's core is digital; Snappy's core is physical choice.
2. How are people added and triggered?
At scale, nobody wants to type names. If your HR system is the source of truth for birthdays, start dates and anniversaries, check which HR systems each platform connects to. Snappy names several HR systems on its site. Giftronaut names Zapier, an API and spreadsheet upload, which may be enough if your HR data can be exported.
3. Where do your employees live?
Both platforms state wide country coverage. Ask each one which rewards or gifts are available in the specific countries on your list, because coverage at country level is not the same as the same catalogue everywhere.
4. How will you show the budget was used well?
Finance will want to see what was sent, what was redeemed and what happens to value that is never claimed. Both sites describe reporting on redemption. Ask each one what happens to unredeemed rewards and gifts.
5. Does your brand need to appear on the gift itself?
A gift card carries your brand on the message, not on an object. If you want employees to wear or use something with your logo, you need branded merchandise: Snappy lists custom swag, and specialist merchandise suppliers do this as their main business.
Scale problems to plan for, whichever platform you pick
Running employee gifting for a few dozen people and running it for several thousand are different jobs. A few issues come up at volume regardless of the tool:
- Data quality. Leavers, name changes and wrong email addresses multiply with headcount. Decide who keeps the recipient list clean and how often it is refreshed from HR.
- Fairness across countries. A budget that buys a good gift in one country may buy less in another once delivery is added. Decide whether budgets are the same everywhere or adjusted locally.
- Approval and spend control. At scale, several managers will send gifts. Check how each platform handles roles, approval steps and departmental budgets.
- Policy and tax treatment. Gifts to employees can have tax consequences in the UK; HMRC sets out the rules for trivial benefits. General information, not tax advice. Check with your accountant.
- Communication. Employees should know the gift is coming and where to look for it, especially if it arrives as an email or SMS link that could be mistaken for spam.
Where Zintora fits, and where it does not
Zintora is not a gift card marketplace and does not run a recipient-choice platform. It is a quote-only branded merchandise supplier: you choose the items, approve a digital proof of every one, and the order is produced and delivered to the office or to each person's home. That makes it a different tool from both platforms above, and in practice a complement to them.
Teams often combine the two approaches:
- A platform for recurring, individual moments, such as birthdays and spot rewards, where speed and choice matter.
- A branded merchandise supplier for shared moments, such as a welcome kit for every new starter, a company event or a year-end pack, where everyone should receive the same branded items.
For those shared moments, Zintora's ready-made packs keep a large order simple. The Five essentials pack combines an A5 notebook, click pen, wooden keyring, steel bottle and ceramic mug; the Everyday pack with bottle and thermal tumbler suits people who split time between home and office; and the Executive pen and keyring duo is a lighter option. The minimum order is set per product and confirmed in the quote. Production takes 10 to 20 working days after proof approval, confirmed in the quote. Zintora delivers across the UK and internationally to Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Asia-Pacific and the Americas, with each destination priced in the quote. Pricing is confirmed in your quote, ex VAT; printing and delivery are extra, UK import VAT and duties are paid on delivery.

- For branded items, request a digital proof and a quote per destination
- Agree who owns the address list and how it is kept up to date
Frequently asked questions
Is Giftronaut or Snappy cheaper?
We do not compare prices here. Giftronaut's site says it has no platform fees, contracts or subscriptions; Snappy links to its own pricing page. Compare the total cost of the same programme on both.
Can employees choose their own gift on both platforms?
Yes, in different ways. Giftronaut's Choice Card lets a recipient pick a reward brand in their country, while Snappy lets a recipient pick a physical gift or collection within the budget you set.
Which platform integrates with HR systems?
Snappy's site names Workday, BambooHR, Rippling and ADP among its HR integrations. On the Giftronaut pages we checked, integrations were Zapier, an API and named sales, survey and productivity tools.
Can Zintora replace a gifting platform?
No. Zintora supplies branded merchandise and packs by quote; it does not run gift cards or recipient choice. It works alongside a platform for moments where everyone should receive the same branded items.
What should I choose for a welcome kit for every new starter?
A branded kit usually fits better than a gift card, because the items carry your brand from the first day. Plan sizes and addresses early and approve a digital proof before production.
