Custom Stationery: What to Include in a Training Kit
Prepare a stationery kit with notebooks, pens and sticky notes. Compare formats, printing and quantities for your company's courses, meetings and workshops.

A stationery kit for training should make the course activities easier. A notebook and a pen may be enough for taking notes; a workshop with mind maps may need sticky notes. Adding a ruler or a pencil case makes sense when it solves a task, not to fill a bag.

Turn the course agenda into objects
Go through each activity with the person who will run the training. For writing individual ideas, prioritise paper surface and comfort. For group work, what matters is being able to move and read the notes. If the exercise involves drawing to scale, check the accuracy of the ruler on a physical sample.
| Activity | Useful item | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Continuous note-taking | Notebook and pen | How it opens, ruling and writing feel |
| Ideas on a wall | Sticky notes | Size, contrast and adhesion |
| Sketches and measurements | Ruler | Readable scale and accuracy |
| Carrying accessories | Pencil case | Capacity and closure |
A selection you can budget for
The Forma Notebook provides the base for taking notes. For handing out to a large group, the Simple Promo Pen offers an economical promotional option. Ask for the ink colour, the type of tip and a writing test before approving the model.

The Memo Sticky Notes are designed for meetings and group exercises. Confirm the number of sheets and whether the cover, each sheet or both will be printed. The Pocket Pencil Case holds small tools; the Desk Ruler is relevant in workshops where measuring or drawing is part of the work.

These newer models are proposals available on quote, with illustrative images generated with AI. The quantity, dimensions and personalisation are settled on the selected item, not on the drawing.
Format and writing area
A5 measures 148 × 210 mm and A4 measures 210 × 297 mm. Those are paper sizes: the cover of a notebook can be slightly larger. If it needs to fit in a folder or bag, ask for the exterior dimensions. For someone who takes few notes, a manageable notebook can be more useful than a large one that ends up empty.
Leave room to write. A large logo on every page can get in the way; a personalised cover with discreet pages usually leaves more margin. On sticky notes, check that the ink or background does not make what is written harder to read.
Compare the complete kit
As a planning exercise, an order of 250 Simple pens is a basic-item order, not a budget for 250 printed pens: branding, set-up and transport are missing, and the price is confirmed according to the model and quantity. Ask for an itemised total and distinguish cost per kit from cost per item.
