How to Choose and Customise Hoodies for Your Business
How to choose and customise hoodies for your business: fabric and weight, branding technique, size split, minimums per model and the steps to prepare your order.
By Zintora Team

Choosing and customising hoodies for your business is, above all, choosing a garment the team wants to wear: the fabric, cut and sizes weigh as much as the logo. A fabric that bobbles, embroidery that puckers or a print that cracks after a few washes turns the hoodie into a garment nobody wears.

This guide explains, step by step, how to choose the fabric, the branding technique, the size split and the quantity. If you already know what you are looking for, compare models and minimums on our page for custom hoodies for business.
Why a hoodie works as company clothing
A comfortable hoodie is worn in the office, on video calls and outside work, and every use makes the brand visible. In a welcome pack or in event merchandise it is usually the item that gets used most, as long as the size is right.
The key is two words: perceived quality. A cheap hoodie with an enormous logo is advertising. A premium hoodie with a discreet embroidered logo is clothing. People wear clothing, not advertising.
Fabrics: what to ask for (and what to avoid)
- Combed cotton, 320 to 350 g/m²: the premium standard. Soft feel, drapes well, withstands washing. It is what we recommend for teams and welcome packs.
- Cotton/polyester blend (80/20): shrinks less and keeps its shape. A good option if the use will be intensive.
- Organic or recycled cotton with a certificate (GOTS for organic, GRS for recycled): useful if your company reports on ESG; ask for the certificate that applies to the batch before you communicate it.
- Avoid: weights below 280 g/m² (they go see-through and bobble) and 100% polyester fleece for everyday garments.
Branding techniques: embroidery versus printing
| Technique | Ideal for | Durability | Relative cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Embroidery | Small logos on the chest or sleeve | Excellent (years) | Medium to high |
| Digital printing (DTG) | Full-colour designs, gradients | Very good | Medium |
| Screen printing | Large runs, flat colours | Very good | Low in volume |
| Heat transfer | Colour logos of a contained size | Good | Low |
Our recommendation for corporate hoodies: embroidery on the left chest for the main logo. It is the difference between "company uniform" and "something I put on on Saturday". If your design has gradients or a lot of detail, ask about digital printing (DTG) on the models that offer it. The available techniques change by model: each product page states them.
Sizes: the mistake everyone makes
Mistake number 1 in corporate orders: ordering the same size curve you would use for T-shirts. Hoodies are worn loose, so order one size more than you think and reinforce sizes L and XL. A safe curve for a mixed team of 20 people: 2 S, 5 M, 7 L, 4 XL, 2 XXL.
Better still: ask for real sizes before ordering. If you use welcome packs for new starters, keep replacement stock in L and XL.
How many units do I need to order?
There is no single minimum: at Zintora each hoodie model states its own minimum order, and the units can be split across sizes. For one or very few units, check whether the model supports print on demand.
The current minimum for each model is on the custom hoodies page, and each product page shows its starting price. Personalisation, packaging and delivery are quoted separately, and the quote itemises them.
How to order without complications
The process with Zintora is deliberately simple:
- Send your logo as a vector file (PDF, SVG or EPS) or as a high-resolution PNG with a transparent background, with your quote request.
- Choose the model, colour and fabric. We advise you according to your budget.
- Review the digital proof with the placement, size and colours of the logo before approving.
- Confirm sizes and quantities.
- Once you approve the proof, production starts, with the model's indicative lead time confirmed in the quote, and we coordinate delivery across EMEA, APAC and the Americas: office, event or each employee's home.
Frequently asked questions
Can I mix sizes and colours in the same order? Yes. Within the same model you split the units across sizes and the total counts towards the minimum; the quote confirms how the colours are split.
Does the embroidery withstand washing? Well-executed embroidery withstands normal washing. As a general rule, wash the garment inside out at a low temperature, and check the care instructions for the model.
Do you send individual shipments to remote employees? Yes. We can coordinate individual shipments to each person across EMEA, APAC and the Americas; transport per address is quoted separately.
What logo file do you need? Vector (PDF, SVG or EPS) is ideal. A high-resolution PNG with a transparent background can also work.
